Profile of Hugh Gregory

As a specialist valuer and consultant for forty years I have been increasingly aware of the loss of value and integrity when pairs or sets of items are separated. In the past when interest and appreciation was less and values lower it was common practice for children to be given or left parts of a set of items whether it be a candlestick from a pair, or three chairs from a set of six. Not only is the family inheritance affected, but also the commercial loss is enormous. A single candlestick is worth £400 but the pair can be £1500, or a set of four £7000 or more. Now is the opportunity using this website to post these separated items FOR FREE ! Someone out there has the pair (or more)!

Any details including silver hall marks, dimensions, weight and initials and/or crests mean that identification can be 100%.
